What are the requirements?

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    A CV template is included in the online application form.
  2. Affidavit of citizenship and residency
    A notarized affidavit indicating that you are a Filipino citizen and that you have been residing in the Philippines for at least 12 months upon application.  (UPDATE:  Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we will not be asking applicants to upload the Affidavit of Citizenship and Residency in the initial screening. We will be asking the document for shortlisted applicants. Targeted category refers to applicants from our partner agencies.)
  3. Re-Entry Action Plan (REAP)
    A re-entry action plan outlines how you intend to use the competencies you acquire in Australia to contribute to the development of the Philippines.

  4. Graduation Certificate (with GWA/GPA indicated)
    Secured from the academic institution where you earned your highest completed degree, the certificate must indicate the details of your course including your General Weighted Average or Grade Point Average.
    (UPDATE:  In line with the current COVID-19 situation in the country and the suspension of work in various universities and institutions, Australia Awards will be accepting Transcript of Records (TORs) in lieu of the Certification of GWA/GPA as part of the initial requirements for the program.)

For PhD applicants, the following will also be required:

Research proposal - This is part of the online application form that you need to fill out. You will be asked to indicate the following:
  • Research Title
  • Research Objectives
  • Significance and possible application of your proposed research to Philippine development
  • Proposed research method
  • Proposed supervisor/s
  • Referee Reports.  You need to ask (2) of your previous professors to fill this out. The template can be downloaded from the Resources tab.  You can then scan and upload the signed copy into the appropriate box in your online application form.
  • Proof of Correspondence.  You need to upload PDF copy of the email correspondence between you and your potential research supervisor from an Australian university.  The correspondence must explicitly state that he/she has accepted the role of a potential supervisor.  You may start the process of getting supervisor acceptance by contacting universities in Australia.
