May we ask information/clarification on the following
1. Based on the TOR of the Tracer study, there are more than 866 alumni and the numbers are distributed to the six (6) categories, may we know the distribution per category?
2. May we have a short/brief profile description of the group in each of the category?
3. Considering that there are 866 alumni, may we know the sample size that is right for the survey? Would a maximum of 100 completed survey be fine for the tracer study?

Hi Beatriz,
For Q1. There are actually four major categories: Australia Awards, Short Courses and ICSP and Scholars from previous facility.. Short course is about 200, ICSP is 33 and the rest is Australia Awards Scholarships. Items 2& 4 are part of Australia Awards. Then, scholars from previous facility is about 177.

For Q2. Australia Awards and previous facility alumni (items 1, 2, 3 & 4). These alumni studied in Australia from 1 year to 3 years taking up diploma, masters and Phd from target government organisations, private sectors, NGOs, academic institutions. Short Course participants are from partner government organisations usually with Salary Grade 18 and above. Then, ICSP local scholars/alumni from BARMM region.

For Q3. We expect that you will be sending survey questions to all target alumni-respondents. Then, based from that we can target and agree on the acceptable response rate. A 20% to 30% response rate will be a good figure. 10% which is more or less 100 respondents could be possible provided that the respondents are reasonably and proportionately distributed among the target cohorts. Of course, the higher the response rate the better.

Hope this address your queries. Let us know if you need further clarifications.
