In-Country Scholarship Program (ICSP)
The In-Country Scholarship Program (ICSP) is an initiative to complement Australia Awards Scholarships. It provides postgraduate scholarship opportunities for potential leaders and technical specialists of the Bangsamoro region who are unable to study in Australia because of work or family demands.
What is In-Country Scholarship Program?
“The ICSP was launched by the Australian Aid in 2012 granting 99 allocations to targeted professionals in conflict and post-conflict areas in Mindanao. “
“In July 2015, an expanded ICSP was introduced targeting professionals who have a stake in Mindanao. A total of 69 awards was opened and aimed at building a pool of potential leaders and technical specialists who can contribute in pursuing Bangsamoro development priorities.
“The ICSP awardees pursued post graduate degrees in Education, Social Protection and Community Development, Urban Planning and Infrastructure Development, Engineering, Public Administration and Governance, Peace and Development Programs, Public/Community Health, Human Resource/Organisational Development, Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, Sustainable Development Studies. Philippine schools/universities based in Metro Manila and in the cities of Iligan, Cotabato and Davao also referred to as Partner Academic Institutions (PAIs) hosted the awardees.”
