Supporting the Philippine learning community with free webinars

John Baluyot, President, Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD) | Awardee, Australia Awards Scholarships

Oplan HOPE has a lot of bayanihan stories. Most of the initiatives of Oplan HOPE are powered by volunteers, and fully supported by the secretariat of PSTD. Our flagship program is the PSTD-Learn-from-Home Series. This a series of free webinars for Learning and Development (L&D) practitioners delivered by volunteer speakers from thought leader organisations (internationally and locally). In just two weeks, we were able to line up speakers for the Philippine learning community from Australia Institute of Training and Development (Australia), Center for Creative Leadership (Singapore), Google (Philippines), Facebook (Philippines), GE (US and UK), Globe Telecom (PH), Philippine L&D Legends and many more coming. These are 20+ free learning sessions in the next three weeks. To date we now have 3,500+ registered attendees. Our last session had 500 attendees in zoom, with 1,200+ live viewers in Facebook all over the country. This learning session is bigger than any physical convention that PSTD has run in its history.
